How to view a Web page
There are three different ways which you can view your Web page and these are: ‘code’, ‘split’ or ‘design’ view. As mentioned previously, Dreamweaver writes code named ‘HTML’ for you, which you are then able to view in your ‘Web Browser’ such as Internet explorer.
Below shows the three examples of a web page (In this instance the school’s intranet front page has been used as an example) and these demonstrate how the web page design (how it would be viewed in Web browser) and HTML code can be displayed.

Split View
Above, you can see the split frame displaying both code view and design view together. In the top frame you are able to see the code that is being written and in the bottom frame you are able to see the actual web page design.
You are able to edit the web page by either making changes to the top or bottom frames.
